WHGC Morning Tee Times

As stated, a few of us think that morning tee times could be opened earlier, making more available to book and play.

We are sending the following email individually. If you agree, we are asking as many people as possible to do the same.

All you have to do is copy and paste the information below to your own email client and send.

Don’t forget to change the day to the one on which you regularly play your morning golf and to add your name at the bottom.

Dear Adam and Oliver

I believe I speak for most members when I say how great the course looks and how well it is playing.

I think we all understand that the ground staff need time in the mornings to prepare the course for the day’s play, particularly when there is a competition.

However, there is also a need to balance this preparation time with the need for members to be afforded as much playing time as possible, particularly at weekends, and particularly in these times of limited daylight.

Along with many others, I like to play on a Sunday morning. Many of us arrive well before our designated tee times and it is obvious that the ground staff have cleared most, if not all, of the early holes well before we are due to tee off, even by the time we have arrived – often by 7:20am.

I would urge you to reconsider the morning tee times and open them as early as possible to maximise the time available for members to enjoy our wonderful course. I should have thought the first available tee time before ‘official’ sunrise would be easily achievable.

I do hope that you can give my appeal your earnest consideration and look forward to seeing more early tee times available.
