Housing CGI becomes reality
CGIs have now become ‘de rigueur‘ for the housing and property developer wishing to market their developments before they are completed, but how many builders actually refer to the CGI when building the project?
This is exactly what happened when we completed this artists impression of a housing development in Worcester: There was nothing unusual about the project; created from architectural drawings supplied to us in PDF form, in common with many housing and property CGIs, the architectural visualisation was created well ahead of the project’s start date. However, rather than being used solely for the marketing of the houses, the CGI was used as a finishing guide by the builders themselves.
Take a look at the two images above for a before (CGI) and after (photo) of the project – The only thing the builders couldn’t copy was the blue sky!
The developer stated, “I thought your team might be interested in seeing the finished result on our Worcester site (photo attached). The CGI you did helped the builders a lot as well, everything would be cross referenced to what you put on your artwork!”
