Responsive website boosts Google ranking
Staying a step ahead of the market is critical to any business. That’s why we gave our client, MobileShred plenty of warning ahead of Google’s planned changes regarding mobile friendly websites.
Some months ago, Google announced that the algorithms which determined search engine rankings for websites would be adjusted to favour websites which were mobile friendly, or responsive.
Beings among the first to hear of this policy change, we advised all our clients to be ready for the change.
Friendly for mobile shredding, MobileShred’s website was not, however, friendly to mobile devices, so we recommended that the client had a new website which would be.
The new site, created using an adapted WordPress theme, gave us and the client an opportunity to modernise the presentation without adding to costs. It would also provide a content managed system, featuring a blog, which can be updated quickly and easily to meet online marketing requirements.
Using much of the material from the existing website, we created a new, responsive site that would work on mobile devices.
The new site has been up and running for a while now and is performing well in search engine rankings for key phrases, not only in Google, but also across other popular search engines.
If your website isn’t mobile friendly, it should be. Talk to us for details on how you can get up to date and improve your position in Google’s rankings.
